The Account Manager for Commercial Banking works closely with Senior Lender Lending RM’s, and Lending Associates to provide administrative and operational support to ensure that the banking practice as a whole works cohesively and in tandem with other disciplines, including trust servicing and CSS, in a well- coordinated effort to ensure effective internal risk management and exceptional service to internal partners, and clients at all times. The specific and key responsibilities of this position are enumerated below:

 

The key responsibilities of the role include:

·      Maintains primary level responsibility on loan portfolio administration and risk management (either directly or via effective delegation and oversight of same) by ensuring that all compliance and loan portfolio management responsibilities are completed and adhered to, including but not limited to the following:

 

·      Actively monitor various team portfolio reports such as Deposit and Loan document deficiencies, past due loans, overdraft reports, flood and insurance tracking reports, late annual review reports, BR-5 Override Reports, maturing loans/renewals, KYC, and Baker Hill documentation exception Reports.


·     Oversees loan documentation and funding process to ensure that loan documentation for new credit requests, extensions, amendments, renewals, etc. are timely completed to meet internal and client deadlines, with minimal errors. Furthermore, maintains responsibility to ensure that all files are fully and accurately documented and maintained in accordance with full compliance with credit policy and mandated documentation requirements so that files are current and in full audit compliance at all times.

 

·     Serves as the loan documentation point person with respect to Credit Review engagements to ensure that all files are current, accurate, and properly uploaded as mandated by the Credit Review team.

 

·      Primary responsibility and oversight for client money movement, including wires, transfers, and ensuring the team remains in full compliance with all money movement with full adherence to all policies and procedures.

 

·      Responsible for collecting and monitoring compliance documents Acts as liaison with the Client Service Support Team (CSST), National Credit Services (NCS), Enterprise Operations (fka Loan Operations), and other areas and performs due diligence on loans such as obtaining money market rates, ordering of appraisals, and submitting work requests to the National Credit Services and Enterprise Operations/Loan Documentation Service Center/Loan Documentation Unit (LDU).

 

·       Effectively coordinates with outside counsel regarding complex documentation requests.

 

·      Special Projects and Administration - Works on special projects at the direction of the Senior Lender or Managing Director

 


The successful candidate will benefit from having:

      5+  years’ experience in financial services , specifically with respect to complex loan documentation, including commercial real estate, premium finance, aviation and marine lending.

      Advanced knowledge and expertise in banking and loan operations and accounting systems usually acquired through related experience is needed to administer commercial banking loans accounts.

      General business knowledge, including knowledge of accounting usually acquired through coursework, is required to oversee client transactions.

      Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills required to identify and resolve account and service issues as well advanced client servicing skills.
