Investment Risk and Analytical Services (IRAS) provides performance measurement and investment analysis across multiple client segments: Corporate ERISA, Public Funds, Foundations and Endowments, Wealth Management, Global Family Office and Sovereign Wealth Funds. IRAS utilizes a suite of proprietary reporting applications to deliver a broad range of investment analysis from rates of return and asset allocation reporting to benchmark comparisons and attribution analysis.  This analysis supports the evaluation, measurement and decision making process of key constituents.  Furthermore, once hired, the analyst will be assigned a client desk load and be responsible for ensuring performance reporting and ad-hoc requests are delivered to the client base in a timely and accurate manner.

 

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Work in tandem with performance consultants analyzing, preparing, and validating client reports and presentations.

Work with internal operations partners to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all information provided to clients.

Monitor the completeness and appropriateness of investment manager data to be included in asset class composites, and utilize multiple applications to prepare both standard and custom reporting deliverables.

Work with clients to help them interpret performance and attribution data to better understand the impact of their investment decisions.

Regularly interface with clients to determine service requirements, provide training, and are responsible for independently evaluating and responding to client inquiries.

·        


·        1-2 years of experience in investment analysis, or trust-investment related background, investments operations or transferable experience from a related field

·        Be well versed in market trends as well as the financial concepts underlying return calculations for Equity, Fixed Income and Alternative asset classes.

·        Excellent business judgment is required in order to quickly assess a situation and proactively develop solutions to complex client needs.

·        Knowledge generally acquired through an undergraduate degree program, related work experience or progress towards certifications such as the CIPM, CAIA, or CFA.

·        Use of Microsoft Office tools, advanced Excel skills preferred.

·        Exposure to Northern Trust or third party financial software is a plus.

·        Strong organizational, written, and verbal client servicing skills.

·        Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.

·        Progress towards certifications such as the CIPM or CFA is a plus.
