We are seeking a Story Author for the Alternatives Asset Services Agile Team who is eager to learn and expand their Agile knowledge, product knowledge, and business analyst skillset. Our ideal candidate would be a self-motivated and detail oriented partner, with a willingness to take charge of a project to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. The Story Author role is critical to the success of the Agile team, and as such we are seeking a collaborative individual with strong technical, communication, and product knowledge. Our ideal candidate would be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously to deliver actionable requirements and business outcomes to meet client service, improve operational efficiency, and innovate within the Alternatives product space.

 

As the Story Author for the Agile team, you will be expected to:

 

  • Liaise with operations to define requirements to meet the stated business or technical outcome
  • Work with the Product Owner and scrum team on a daily basis to ensure that the business outcomes are being defined and met in a timely manner
  • Translate complex business requirements into clearly defined, actionable tasks
  • Evaluate and Mitigate Operational Risk when considering business requirements through to implementation
  • Develop test cases and test packs
  • Present the results of your work to senior management and stakeholders
  • Collaborate across the Alternatives business functions to ensure that the product being delivered meets or exceeds the requirements of the stakeholders
  • Present ideas to the product team for new capabilities

Qualifications

 

Applicants will have previous experience in Agile methodologies or Change Management functions with proven experience in business analyst responsibilities.

 

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including an ability to extract complexity so that it can be readily understood and acted upon.

 

Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and work independently with minimum supervision.

 

Knowledge of Alternative Asset Service products and business processes is highly preferred but not essential.

 

Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant, proven work experience.
