Experience:
 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
 7+ years of experience in application development experience using Java and other object oriented technologies.
 Excellent consultative and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external client, business partner, and IT staff and management.
 Programming analysis and design expertise with trading applications and knowledge of Capital Markets related acumen and required capabilities is preferred.
 Required expertise:
o WebLogic or any J2ee AppServer (WebSphere, JBoss, etc)
o Core Spring framework
o Spring JDBC
o Object Relational Mapping (ORM) Frameworks like Hibernate or iBATIS
o Struts MVC framework
o Core JavaScript
o Knowledge of databases like Oracle (versions > 11), Sybase, DB2
o Unix Shell Scripting
o SQL
o JMS Messaging API & Implementation of Messaging by Vendors (IBM MQ, Solace)
o HTML
o Web Services (SOAP, REST)
o .NET experience is a plus
 Desired expertise for future technology stack:
o Spring Integration
o Angular JS
o React Framework
o Microservice Architecture
o Spring Boot
o Cloud Computing concepts and deployment; PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes etc.
o Google Toolkit
o Spring Batch
o Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
o Ajax
o jQuery
o Node.js
 Team player including:
o Positive attitude and respect to peers; works well with both business and technology partners.
o Great communicator and capable of not just doing the work, but teaching others and explaining the “why” behind complicated technical decisions.
o Ability to learn quickly and think and work independently.
o Eager to learn legacy implementation by reviewing, adapting and improving code to make compatible with the future vision of the application with limited documentation.
o Desire to learn and understand the business processes of the applications for which the role is responsible.
o Shows ownership of work from inception to deployment in PROD.
o Self-reliant and fully responsible for their deliverables.
