We are currently looking for a Consultant to join our NA Income Governance team.  This is a global team of individuals that handle multiple functions supporting both Investment Operations Outsourcing clients and Custody clients for North America.  As a Consultant, the candidate will serve as a key point of contact for clients and operational teams. 

 

Summary


Operates under general supervision but works on own most of the time.  Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills.  Serves on large and/or complex projects including the on-boarding of new clients.  Client servicing includes weekly update calls with clients, quarterly service reviews where necessary, and presenting the Income process to internal shared service groups. 

 

Major Duties

 

  • Ensure a strong `risk and control’ culture exists amongst the team such that operational risk is inherently reduced and any potential risk situations are promptly identified and escalated  
  • Assist staff with technical queries and provide coaching in the research and resolution of complex issues Generates ideas for operational efficiency 
  • Co-ordinates the introduction of process changes within the group 
  • Leads initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues 
  • Participates in system enhancement projects and oversee process improvement initiatives through to implementation 
  • Operatesindependently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function 
  • Liaises with the rest of the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
  • Focuses on maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures in the function, building towards becoming an area expert.
  • Possesses the leadership and organization skills required to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.  

 

Qualifications 

 

  •  3 or more years in the financial services industry required, with preference to candidates with directly related experience.
  • Presentation skills and strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  •  Analytical and problem-solving skills are required.  
  • Organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are critical. Microsoft Office skills required.
