Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism (or other writing-focused area of study), finance or economics. Master’s degree is a plus but not required.
  • 8 + years of professional writing experience in financial services, ideally including writing specifically for wealth management audiences.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills; ability to describe and visualize complex concepts in a simple, actionable way for clients and prospects
  • Excellent editorial judgment to ensure appropriate content and messaging for external audiences
  • Ability to leverage research and data to determine content needs at various touchpoints along the client journey
  • Experience in managing content across multiple channels and formats, including digital (web, social) and print
  • Ability to build relationships  and consult with subject matter experts to gain sufficient knowledge on a topic and promote value to clients/prospects
  • Ability to work with content production resources (writers, designers, etc., both internal and external) to deliver on content strategy
  • Strong project management skills to manage timely delivery of projects and escalate/resolve issues as needed
  • Ability to use data to increase usage / effectiveness of content and alter strategy as necessary
