Responsible for managing a Country Human Resources group. 

  • Conducts the performance management process, identifies training and development needs, and establishes performance standards for the country HR team.   Participates in developing the strategic plan and manages the unit's expenses.
  • Responsible for managing the country Human Resources Consulting function and provide guidance to other functions such as Recruiting, Learning & Development, HR Service Center, Compensation , HR Consulting, etc..  Conducts the performance management process, identifies training and development needs, and establishes performance standards for the unit
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication  
  • Makes staffing decisions, manages expenses and salary review process for the country, and ensures resources are available to accomplish priorities.
  • Develops periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short and long-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work
  • Participates in developing strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit; follows through to ensure that objectives are met 
  • Develops unit’s budget and manages the expenses for the unit
  • Directs the development of corporate human resources programs, policies, and practices to enhance partner needs and relationships.
  • Promotes the company and corporate human resources services through participating on committees and attending industry conferences as an attendee, speaker, or interviewee
  • Maintains risk management and compliance programs and activities for the regional human resources group 
  • Ensures a working environment that fosters inclusion of all employees in accordance with diversity policies and practices

Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of major business segments
  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to direct the activities for the multiple units.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required 
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills to consult with internal partners on human resources issues or processes 
  • In-dept country and human resources knowledge is required 
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change 
  • Innovative thinking to identify new ways for HR to support the business strategy and to develop clear, actionable steps in support of the overall business strategy 
  • Strong consulting, interpersonal, teamwork, communication and client service skills 
  • Significant knowledge of HR policies and processes (e.g. workforce planning, talent management, compensation) 
  • Knowledge of local employment laws
