Manager, Client Services - Global Fund Services (GFS) 

Summary 
Responsible for managing a GFS Client Services Team within the Investor Services area (Transfer Agency and Partnership Services). Accountable for the performance management process and staffing for the team. The team is responsible for service and delivery to multiple clients within GFS Investor Services. They handle client inquiries, client change, due diligence, and promote new or existing products and services. 

Major Duties 
1. Manages a client service unit. Conducts the performance management process, identifies training and development needs, and establishes performance standards. 

2. Determines staffing needs, making hiring and firing decisions, handles salary administration, and ensures resources are available to accomplish priorities. 

3. Participates in developing the business unit strategic plan, and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit. Follows through to ensure objectives are me. 

4. Provides leadership and guidance to staff fostering an environment which encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication. 

5. Oversees daily operations of client servicing and acts as the technical expert for determining the products and services to meet client needs. 

6. Researches and analyzes complex client inquiries. Handles problem client situations offering support and resolution.  

7. Develops plans to assist marketing efforts to promote new or existing products and services. 

8. Works with vendors and consultants on hardware, software, and network issues regarding the core applications. 

9. Ensures that staff is trained and updated on new or existing products and services.
Knowledge / Skills 
Knowledge of bank products and services usually obtained through a training program and related work experience is required to service clients. Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the team goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of the staff. 

Qualifications 
• Minimum of 4 years of client servicing experience. 

• A College or University degree and / or relevant proven work experience is required. 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.  

• Knowledge of financial industry operations, supporting registered and unregistered funds. 

• Analytical and problem solving skills is required.
