  • Job Title    : Senior Communications Specialist (Individual Contributor Role)
  • Level        : Vice President
  • Location    : Pune / Bangalore
  • Reports to    : Directly to a Corporate Internal Communications manager in Chicago, USA. With local reporting in India to the India CASO. 

About Role:Strategically plans, creates, executes and measures internal communications for projects and initiatives for the India workforce (Bangalore and Pune), with a focus on educating, informing and engaging employees and various stakeholders. Supports the India the India Executive Management Team; counsels partners on communications strategies and programs to meet communication objectives.  

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the planning, development and implementation of strategic internal communication programs that project the desired image for India employees as a whole with a focus on the ‘bigger picture’, developing a narrative to connect the dots across all initiatives.  
  • Support and work with the India EMT to understand business strategies, develop executive messages and define strategic communications plans in support of business goals and priorities.  
  • Drive and facilitate employee engagement programs that keep employees informed and aligned with our business strategy, culture, and initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver innovative and creative internal communications campaigns in a budget-constrained business environment.
  • Manage and/or support the production of town hall meetings, PowerPoint presentations, communications/event calendar, intranet/SharePoint design and postings, broadcast messages, video and other communications methods/vehicles.
  • Manage internal communication platforms & events – SharePoint, MS 365 tools, email software, and live/virtual audience interaction events.
  • Align and work closely with business functions and leadership team and help craft effective messaging around events, programs, change management and best practices.
  • Support incident/crisis and business continuity communications as required.
  • Align with Corporate External communications team for the facilitation and support of external communications/media relations.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms and track metrics to measure communications goals and tools. 
  • Provide support for various corporate-wide communications initiatives as required; liaise with all internal departments,; promote across India-specific communications.
  • Accountable for all organization announcements to be published in India.
     

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

  • Should have 10 or more years of relevant experience in similar domain
  • Expertise in the development and implementation of internal communications strategies and plans. 
  • Has proven writing, editing and proofing capabilities across various platforms.
  • Highly proficient consultative skills, including ability to assess and recommend appropriate communications approach/methods, content and vehicles. 
  • Requires strong analytical ability, strong judgment and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with management and staff of all levels.
  • Ability to juggle multiple, high priority projects simultaneously and rebalance priorities as needed in a deadline-driven environment. 
  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of collaborative, digital technology tools to engage employees in a variety of ways. 
  • Knowledge of basic change management principles and the role of communications in driving change.
