Senior Data Architect- Data Warehouse Solutions

As part of the C&IS Data Warehouse Solutions team, this individual will be provide a senior architect role in building out database structures and warehouse solutions for specific subject areas for the emerging DWS solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop data models within a cloud based data warehouse solution. This includes analyzing client specific data needs, designing and implementing physical data models.  
  • Design efficient algorithms for data integration, transformation and quality check.
  • Continuously improve the performance and scalability of data platform.
  • Partner with business analysts to craft stories and develop work items to satisfy those stories.
  • Work on an agile team to quickly iterate and release solutions.
  • Provide technical advice and assist end-users in solving problems.
  • Serve as a key subject matter expert and drive evolution of the cloud based Data Warehouse Solutions.

 

Qualifications

Experience and Skills

 

  • Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and 10+ years of related experience.
  • In depth knowledge of the following software languages or technologies:

o    ANSI SQL

o    Snowflake cloud services

 

  • Proficiency with data warehousing and modelling concepts:

o    ETL, ELT

o    Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault

·         Experience in the below is expected:

o    AWS or Azure cloud services

o    Power BI or Tableau

o    REST/JSON services

o    GIT or BitBucket Source Control

o    JIRA and Agile methodologies

o    Continuous delivery processes: automated build, test and deployment.

o    Financial terminology and an understanding of related concepts (Portfolio Management, Security Master, Risk, Compliance, Accounting).
