Role Overview

 

As the Sr. Analyst HR Reporting & Analytics you are responsible for collecting data, reporting on, and conducting analysis on large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend and support workforce decision-making. Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to develop strategic and operational insights for HR and the business. Works with systems and technology teams and business users to define requirements, build analytic datasets, perform analyses, and deliver analytic solutions that meet business needs. This role must be able to collaborate across multiple business units and projects.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Exercise independent judgement in identifying and resolving problems within established guidelines
  • Work closely with the users to analyze and document data, report and analytics requirements
  • Design and create reporting and analytics solutions to solve business issues
  • Perform data modeling and regression analysis to provide predictive analytics capability in the organization
  • May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
  • Develop metrics and create ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
  • More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas


 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Strong on both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills that has the ability for critical thinking, investigating problem-solving and decision making
  • Basic knowledge of the human resource function
  • Familiarity with analytical and statistical tools
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Technical skills / systems knowledge is required
  • Strong Project management skills
  • Strong team / relationship building skills

Experience

 

  • A College or University degree and relevant proven work experience is preferred. Preferably a degree in Statistics, Mathematics or similar discipline
  • 5 years of directly related experience in reporting, analytics are preferred. HR background a plus
