Assist Wealth Strategists and the market team with all aspects of the sales process relating to identification of potential prospects and generating new trust, investment, and banking business. The goal is to provide the Wealth Strategist Associate with the skills required to transition into a fully producing Wealth Strategist role within 2-5 years. Primary duties will include assisting Wealth Strategists in seeking, researching, and developing new prospective clients, combined with active calling efforts; preparing materials for client meetings and new business presentations; coordination of sales activities around seminars, COI cultivation, community and bank sponsored events; reviewing and analyzing financial statements, estate documentation, loan documentation or other relevant information; generating future and current estate settlement fee opportunities; ensuring that all aspects of the sales process are proactive and timely; gaining in-depth understanding and knowledge of investment management, fiduciary, financial planning, and banking matters, in order to provide holistic financial advice.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

1. Researches prospective clients in order to gauge potential opportunities.  Prepares presentation materials for prospect, COI or client meetings.
2. Develops expertise and certification in all aspects of the Goals Driven Wealth Management process, including theory, input, analysis, technical, and communication.
3. Makes necessary arrangements for prospect, COI or client meetings including materials, audio-visual aides, logistics, etc.
4. Performs special projects as required.
5. Reviews and organizes all asset/family information and related documents to assess the bank’s appointment status, and any discrepancies between documents. Reviews all correspondence and accompanying documentation from prospects and attorneys to assimilate all possible information about new business opportunity. 
6. Submits account documents to the legal area and external attorneys after inspecting them to ensure adherence to established guidelines and to obtain missing information, correct documents, clarify information, and resolve problem situations.
7. Works with Wealth Strategists to maintain active prospect files and reminders to initiate calls for making forward progress.
8. Composes letters to prospective clients and follows up with telephone calls to arrange meetings.
9. Communicates with partner areas on all aspects of a prospect/client relationship and initiates activity which fulfills a partner’s or client’s needs. 
11. Responds to individual prospects’/clients' inquiries through written correspondence or via telephone.
12. Develop in-depth knowledge of a full range of financial services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate and tax planning, credit). Attend meetings and classes to keep abreast of personal financial planning products and services.
13. Be able to lead sales calls and present to COIs/prospects without the assistance of a Wealth Strategist. Develop independent calling program over time.


The successful candidate will benefit from having:
  • Undergraduate Business Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong computer skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • 1-3 years of wealth management, investments, or credit analyst training; or financial sales or relationship management experience.
  • Analytical, organizational and sales skills as required to proactively manage the sales process. Interactive skills are required to understand prospect needs and respond with the appropriate solutions.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, including fee structures, documentation, policies and procedures usually acquired through work-related instruction or work experience.
  • Knowledge of the duties performed within the various departments and divisions of the bank acquired through work experience in order to direct inquiries and requests for client-related information.
