TECHNOLOGY OVERSIGHT MANAGER
GFS IRELAND


ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Business Manager GFS Ireland, you will be responsible for the management of the relationship between the Northern Trust Corporate IT team and the Business Functions within NTFSIL and NTFASIL. The primary responsibility will be to manage the relationship with our Corporate IT team and to make sure that our service is being monitored with the appropriate escalation in place. You will also be have responsibility for ensuring that the Service Description and associated KPI’s in place with the Corporate IT team will be kept up to date and amended as appropriate.  You will fulfil the role for both NTFSIL and NTIFASIL. You will report directly to the respective Chief Executive Officers for both NTIFASIL and NTFSIL and also report to both Boards as appropriate.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To update and maintain the Service Level Descriptions between the NTFASIL/NTFSIL business functions and the Corporate IT team.
  • To manage and monitor the agreed KPIs between the NTFASIL/NTFSIL business functions and the Corporate IT team. To ensure at all times that the service provided by the Corporate IT Team is sufficient to enable the business functions within NTIFASIL and NTFSIL to meet their regulatory requirement.
  • To participate as a member of the Operations Continuity Committee and provide updates on the performance of the Corporate IT teams.
  • Manage the relationship between Business Functions and the Corporate IT teams.
  • Report to the NTFSIL and NTFASIL CEO’s and boards as deemed appropriate
  • Work with the Risk and Compliance team on monthly reporting to the OCC and Ireland Risk Committee. 
  • Produce management reporting monthly, focussing on overall IT performance including risk rating and future challenges.
  • Oversee the Management of Technology issues in conjunction with Corporate IT team and Business Functions to ensure appropriate resolution. 
  •  Liaising with all internal clients regarding the SLAs.
  • Ensure Business Continuity Plans are in place to provide service resolution within the agreed timeframes.
  • Reporting risk exposure of each business functions around IT incidents
  • Review and maintain all corporate information security related policies, review these on an annual basis and present your findings to the boards
  • Carry out an assessment of the corporate Information Security anD
  • Technology Risk policy for applicability and review against local requirements and also the update of the local Information Security policy.
  • Day to Day management of the relationship between the Corporate IT team and the relevant Business Functions in NTFASIL and NTFSIL.
  • Liaise with the regulators on behalf of both companies.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Significant IT skills gained in an technology environment  ( essential )
  • An excellent understanding of the Fund Administration and Depositary business ( essential )
  • A good understanding of the Regulatory Rick and Compliance requirements associated with the Funds Industry ( essential )
  • Good Project Management Skills ( essential )
  • Good Relationship Management Skills ( essential )
  • Process analysis/improvement experience will be advantageous
  • Effective verbal reasoning and numeric skills (Essential)
  • Ability to work under pressure meeting challenging deadline
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
